Default Need Name for a Quilt Block and Suggestions

Hi all,
I have 3 very subtle grey, black and white Civil War prints that I adore!! I want to showcase them with the white I bought to go with them. I was thinking of the block that is two smaller triangles opposite and attached to a larger triangle to make a square. I can't find this name in any of my books and it is hard to google without a name! Does anyone know the name? Also, any suggestions for even better patterns for showing off fabric that are easy?? I am an advanced beginner, maybe!
Thanks,
Nancy

Has anyone done this one?

It is the Chain Block. It looks like it might take a while to make each block. I like fast!!

Nancy, this is just squares and flying geese. Easy.... Beautiful block. Also if you want to showcase a fabric I'd cut the center square in 1 piece instead of 4....

I like that Chain Block....but as noted in a thread yesterday...don't worry so much about fast as the price of fabric makes slowing down and maybe enjoying it more economical

Default Need Name of block

Could the block you're looking for be Birds in the Air?
