Need a New Machine
#11
The best machine will be found at any machine repair shop that has older machines for sale. And thrift stores have gems every so often. I would buy a Kenmore. The Kenmore for under $100 is a very nice portable machine.

I just bought a Brother 6000i for $159 with free shipping from Amazon.com. I thought I would use it as a second machine for travel since my main machine is big and heavy. This little machine does everything except embroidery, and it does it beautifully--excellent speed control, walking foot, etc. I highly recommend it.

MY first machine is now a backup for my computerized one.
It is a Brother quilting machine that came with the feet and a table for quilting. Real bargain at Tuesday morning for 129 dollars. Never had a problem with it. The only thing I dont like about it is no needle down.
