Need Opinions of Queen Quilter 18
#1
My DH has offered to buy me one of the Queen Quiter 18's but they are being discontinued. Should I be concerned about that? The ads say that they will still have parts/service and I feel that Tin Lizzie is a good company. What's your opinion? http://quiltfrog.com/queen.html

I just got a Tin Lizzie in November. I went with the Tin Lizzie 18 LS because I wanted it to have the Lizzie stitch and the Queen quilter does not have it. I enjoy mine, I just need alot more practice than I have time for!

What is the Lizzie Stitch? the Tin Lizzie site does not give pricing. The queen quilter is 5K including the frame. That's my budget limit for buying a machine.

If $5,000 is your budget, the Queen Quilter is a good choice. The major difference between the Queen Quilter and the Tin Lizzie 18LS is the Lizzie Stitch stitch regulator. When you stop moving the machine, the Queen Quilter will still stitch at a slow rate of speed. To stop stitching with the Queen Quilter, you need to turn the machine off. With the Lizzie Stitch stitch regulator, when you stop moving, the needle stops sewing. There are also differences in the frames, metal vs. wood.
