Welcome to the Quilting Board!

A simple Log cabin. Very traditional and easy to do.
A log cabin quilt would be beautiful! I was thinking in shades of green or blue. Or just a 9-patch with whimsical "doctor-nurse" fabric would be fun for a throw.
i like the idea of log cabin in the blues and greens. Your center square of the log cabin could be fussy cut pictures of doctors!Originally Posted by sewjoyce

The blues and greens in a log cabin sound good or you could do a disappearing nine patch.
I veto the doctor-medical related fabric --if he is in a cabin in the woods he is probably trying to get away from it all. :) :) :)
I suggest "Just Can't Cut It" pattern using a outdoorsy print. It's a quick & easy pattern.

I am going with no doctor-medical fabrics. Anything else... okay... without know the person. I figure he might be tired of medical things.
Wow! Thanks for all the help.....I will sure consider all of them. Ya when he is not at work he does not even like to talk about medical stuff. Love the ideas!! Thanks!!
