Default Need your help

Working on a quilt for my 14 year old grandaughter. It needs a minimum of 7" added to all sides. I've tried all sorts of combinations and can't seem to come up with something that's pleasing to the eye.

The black trim piece is sewn on.
I've pinned fabric next to it to try and get some idea. Nothing looks right.

Any suggestions?

**I've got plenty of the green fabric left and a fair amount of various pinks I used.

Since you put the black on already, do you have a darker green that could go between the pink and the green outer borders?

I like the way you have the fabric scraps pined to the side. I think that would look great.

I like just the green for a border. and then perhaps pink binding if necessary.

I like the variety of pinks that you have pinned. Do you have a fair amount of the black and pink print left? If so a nice big border of that all around would look great.

1st... I could always remove the black border. I'm not "married" to it.

There is enough of the green left to make a border that's wide enough.. hadn't thought of that.

Still open to ideas. Thanks & keep 'um coming.

Considering its for a 14 year old she would probably like the black border. Go with what you have. I like it. Then bind in black to tie it together.

I would also get rid of the black. Instead, I would either use the strongest pink you have in your quilt for border and bind it with green. If you do not have enough of the pink left, I would use the pieced border from the picture and bind it in green. For some reason the black looks really strong. Good luck and please post the picture of your beautiful quilt.

Try the green next to the black, and an outer border of the DARK pink that is in the quilt next to it. The piano key border that someone suggested would also be pretty.
