I making a quilt with batik fat quarters. The blocks are made my problem is the sashing. I have a blue batik and a plain black (not batik) Don't don't want to buy material is I don't really have to. Will either of these work and if so, which one. Thanks for your help.

Definitely the black.
I agree the block is perfect. Also a neutral grey or white would work as well.

Hmmmm, normally i love black but the blue batik seems to go with the batiks better. But either would work. your decision.
Margie, since you are asking ...I like the look of the blue, it seems to make the blocks sparkle.
Actually, both would work, but, I seem to like the blue also.
The black gets my vote!
I say black because if you have any blue blocks they will get lost in the sash. I like the blue however. It looks great. Maybe use it for the backing?
