A friend of mine bought "store-bought" quilts and upholstered her couch with them! It turned out really nice!

If that quilt on the bed is done in cross-stitch, I think it is like one I made . Came in a kit. I believe the pattern was something like Yorktown or York?????I made it in the late 60's.

Love your chair and I definitely like the 1st pic with the pink quilt...it's gorgeous!! The cathedral is beautiful but I think too "busy". Just my opinion, though :)

I think the the upholstery should be subdued so it doesn't overwhelm the beauty of the chair and the carved wood.

I could see it in something that has points (a star of sorts). The third example does not want to work for me because the chair is so ornate and the pattern so plain and square. I'm sure it will be purdy no matter what you decide.
