I've gotten comfortable using Superior's King Tut thread....very reliable; good weight; low lint; then I found some thread for sale on Connecting Threads. It's called Essential Thread and is very inexpensive. I've found it to be lighter in weight so I use it in the bobbin along with King Tut on top to save $$$. I recently tried polyester thread. It looks pretty, but it takes more patience, and when I ran into problems I was told to use a thread net. I haven't tried that yet. Hope some of this info helps.
