I'm sure many of you have discovered this already but I found a great new cat toy today - trimmed off selveges (sp?)!!!

I had both my kitties dangling from the rafters playing with these thin strips of fabric. I swear, they prefer the "free" toys to the ones you buy for them.

Yes, I too have been making cat toys for my DD cat's that live with us out of selvages or strips I cannot use. They especially like fleece.

My DD came home with a toy for her cat. It was just fleece attached to a stick. My first thought was WHY. I have enough scraps for 100 cat toys.

Great ideas, my cats are always in the way and making a mess of my sewing room. This should distract them from my good stuff.

Just be careful with those strips. Cats are like kids, everything goes
into the mouth. If the strips are thin they can swallow them and the
next step is surgery. Same with snippets of thread. I always clean
up my sewing room and check for stray pins, just to play safe.
