Default New FMQ tool-really cheap

I just discovered that the elastic exercise bands are GREAT for replacing FMQ gloves. I've used gloves and really like them, except for having to remove them every time I stop and need to use my fingers or hands to do something else.

Hubby uses the exercise bands for stretching exercises and mentiond that "they sure won't slide"...made me think I'd try it for FMS....and by golly, it works, not only does it work, but it works GREAT and leaves my hands and fingers free to remove pins, cut threads, etc....WOW!! I first tried a longer piece across the width of my hands, but that didnt leave me room to work close enough to the needle. Then I tried two pieces, one on each side of the needle, and BINGO!!! works like a charm, and your fabric absolutely does not move under the bands, but glides easily under the needle.....try it!

Forgot to mention that I just bought 3 new exercise bands at walmart for around $5.00 and one band can be cut into several pieces, and may last forever.

Fantastic idea!!! I've even got some of those bands . . . somewhere . . . . Needless to say, I haven't been using them, lately.

And you/we can now tell everyone that we were "just using our exercise bands" ............... and stop short of saying HOW we were using them!
