Well new to me anyway. I got a free sewing machine today off of free cycle. It's a singer merritt 2404. Sews like a dream. I am very happy with it. My machine is in the shop, so this will make a great stand in.

http://www.freecycle.org/

people give away stuff free and you can request stuff for free on the site. It's a way to recycle things so they don't get thrown out. Search for your city or county on the site...there are freecycle groups set up all over the country.
