I happened into the Humane Society's thrift shop this afternoon.

They had a Kenmore 1781 with accessories and manual for $15.

They said it was priced that low because the feed dogs didn't work. Well, they work fine.

I think this will be great for use when I am teaching teenagers to sew

If I remember right, these older all metal machines were really workhorses. And thisone was definitely taken care of by it's previous owner. it will be fun to play with
