OK...maybe I have no business doing this, since I am a brand new quilter...but I went to a quilt show on friday, and the local guild does the coolest ( to me) challenge. You receive an envelope with 2 paint chip cards...and you are only allowed to use the colors on the cards for your quilt ( no black or white added) Anyone willing to take me up on this? PM me with your address and I will send you the cards, or I can give you the card numbers and you can pick them up at your local hardware store:)

Did you get Admin permission to do this? If they allow it and you give me a few more details, I'd do this with you. How much fabric goes into this project, is it a wall hanging, lap size or bed size quilt and what's the time frame? Do you use only the two colors or do you get to use different shades of the two colors? Prints or solids? See I have questions.

I don't really understand what it is you're wanting to do.

Recently did this with a group on line. We were given initials of the person we were making for and told to get paint chips in those initials then match the fabric to those chips and make something. We were able to use one alternate color like for a background. I made a tablerunner and received a wall hanging--it was fun project. I don't have time right now for something like that however.

Sorry I didn't realize I needed permission to post that:( I saw the idea and thought it would be fun
If people want to try the challenge, I can send either send themthe color chip cards...or tell them the brand and color numbers and they can pick them up themselves. after that it is up to them for the size etc...but they can only use those colors...does that explain better?

a two-color quilt would be fun. And... would justify a Shopping Trip! lol...

Once you get the colors, the only rule is you can't use black or white as an additional color...the strips have 4-6 colors on each in varying shades...so they go from a lite to dark, and you get 2 strips in the same colors...blues or reds etc.

since I am a very new quilter...I would say a minimum of 6 months:) ( I want to be able to complete the project myself)
My thought would be for each person to give me a basic color they like...then I can pick colors to suit each person.
