I'm a new quilter, and my bindings are inconsistent and wonky too. One QB posting several days ago directed me to YouTube, to a video that explains in excellent detail how to use Elmer's school glue and very careful stitching to create perfect bindings. The woman's name is Sharon Schamber, and she is an OUTSTANDING explainer. I saved the URL for the first (of three) videos. I've already watched them twice, and I'm going to give her technique a try. Did you square up your quilt first?
Bindings need a nice even quilt to be a nice even binding.
