There have been a lot of comments and chuckles over the years about all of us being "sewers" as tho we were sanitary workers instead of quilters. Well I am reading another word which I like better. It is "sewist".

I like it better too! Also, it sounds a little bit like artist....Janome uses this word all the time.

I like it too.
Ihave also heard Fabric Artist but it can sound too fancy

LOL yep looks like a rail fence to me. I'm glad I'm not alone. I see quilt patterns in my bathroom floor too. Everywhere.

Reminds me - I use the term studio, not sewing room -- after all the room doesn't sew, does it? LOL
