Default Why can't I find a wall hanging pattern that I want???

I have been on the computer for hours looking for a primitive wall hanging to make for my home. I would prefer and PFD download but haven't even been able to find a pattern that I am in love with.

Hoping some of you great ladies have some ideas or links you are willing to share.

primitive -- like how?? Early designs like southwest indians?? african ?? NZ Maori?? or just simple??

The oldest quilted design I ever saw was in the Potala Palace Buddhist monastery in Tibet -- the throne stool of a Dalai Lama -- it was a log cabin design.

Windham has free patterns on their web site. I made one that had a willow tree appliqued in the center with crows, surrounded by different pieced blocks, and a swag of willow tree branches with crows in the corners of the last border. I fused all the pieces that were applique and then button hole stitched around them with floss. It turned out beautifully, and was not hard at all. All the different fabric companys have free patterns on their web sites. Hope you find one you like.

this is from a 'country era' and could be done all in your own color/fabric choices...why rely on someone else to design just what you want...you can do it...
