My husand bought a 12x20 building with a loft. It has a ceiling fan, carpet and lots of space. My space! Yay! Can't wait to get everything into it. I just wanted to share with you all. I need advice on how to "furnish" it.

Wow, is the building going to be close to your house

can you have sew days with other quilters???

be sure to have a big design wall and plenty of electrical,

good lighting

please take pictures of your building now and while you are getting it all set up for your memory book

now you can say you have a quilt studio

Ohhh, lucky you! I saw some of these at a Mennonite store recently and suggested just that to DH. No luck yet, though. Can't wait to see how yours comes along!

It is right beside our house so I can walk out the front door and into the building. I plan on putting little steps from the house to the building. It has electrical outlets all around it. Pictures is a good idea.

I can't wait to see it - I've been mulling the same thing over in my head. I have a nice room now, but if I moved out into a separate building my husband could have my room for a workshop and wouldn't have to walk outside in the winter.

Congratulations!

Light color on the walls. Pale yellow or white would be my choice.

How fun for you. SOunds like a great place you'll have for your quilting hobby. Pictures sound good. You'll get lots of help here.
