All you Janome users what brand thread does this machine like best? I just bought it and I know some are particular about the thread used. Any other advice is welcomed. So far, I love it.

I have had 5 different Janome's and they all preferred (or hated) different threads. My 6500 hated sulky -- anything else was fine. My Jems were happiest with Star. My 7700 likes Superior and does shred Sulky. They all have worked well with the other brands -- they also have worked well with metalics.

I make a lot of quilts on a limited budget, so I use Signature cones. This thread has worked just fine with every machine I've had and is what I use with my 6600 now. I do think Guttermann's and aurofil are probably a bit better, but not enough to justify the cost. I won't ever buy Star again. It broke constantly.
