I am very scared! I have bought a new machine. I have had my old one for 30years, it is part of me and I am worried that I will not get used to the new one. It is being delivered on Tuesday.

Congrats! I also bought a new machine almost 2 months ago now, a Janome Horizon. I love it. It didn't take long to feel as at home and comfortable with my new machine as I was with my old faithful one. Enjoy! I'm excited and happy for you.

Hiya what did you get? I grew up near you by the way - lived near Exbury and went to 6th Form at Totton!

The most important thing is to pack old faithful away. If you are forced to only use your new one, you will get used to it in no time. About a week of steady use and you'll be wondering why you didn't get her years ago. Happy Sewing!

My new machine is a Janome Horizon, my old machine was a New Home Memory Craft 6,000 which has been brilliant, never let me down, been used constantly. Any comments from any of you who already have the Horizon?

I have the Janome 6600 and love it. I bought it a few months before the Horizon came out, otherwise I'd have bought that.

Congratulations! You will probably want to take classes on how to use your new machine, especially since you are moving from a mechanical to electronic. You might also benefit from learning all the new features and feet on your new machine. Good luck!
