Hi i am wilma from nc. i am new to this forum but not new to quilting thought it would be good to introduce myself, have been reading all your post for a while now and thought i would jump in and be a part of you all i have been quilting for about twenty years and made several quilts made one for each of my four sons and one for my grand children and i have made one for my new great grand daughter that is due march 5th.well that is enought of me ,now i have a question for the lady who made the mock stack and whack.i have made several blocks and i cannot get a 1/4 inch seam on all four sides two sides are fine but two sides comes out to about 1/8 or less so can someone tell me what i am doing wrong

Greetings Wilma! Glad to have you aboard. Can't give you an answer specific to stack and whack as I've never done one. I'm certain someone will have a suggestion for you though.

Hi Wilma, I'm Ruth in Greensboro. I haven't done that specific project, but I did start Bridal Path and could not seem to get the seam allowance on my edges, and I found I was not pressing in the correct (all the say direction) as I sewed. I had some that were leaning against the 'grain' of the designs. and, of course my wiggle when I sew, lol.

Maybe try pressing your seams open and see if that helps... are you losing the 1/8" when you sew the two pieces together?
