Great. My kind of gal. In addition, I use flannel sheets for my doll quilts, table runners, place mats, etc. in place of batting...I have been recently using flannel for my foundations of strip piecing. I already had the sheets for winter use on for our bed, but my husband did not like the feel of them. So, don't toss out, try and find another use for them. This also saves using other batting.

You can do either. I butt them up but since I don't take the time to even out the edges of the pieces, I over-lap parts of the strip that are a little wider than the rest. You really can't see the seam
of the batting once it's sandwiched.

Thanks. I was wondering about trying to get both edges to come out even. Overlap sounds good to me.
