New use for old iron

As I was laying out my last quilt on the floor for basting, I could'nt find my T-pins. I use old irons to keep my closet door shut when my ironing board is down. Looked the old iron and thought why not. Worked great!

Ohhh thanks for the idea! I have a small collection of old irons and a couple of them are really heavy!

Looks like the one I built muscles with as a child. Stick that baby on the wood stove and let it heat while using the other one, then change them. Kept you busy while ironing. And you had to run the freshly heated iron on a damp cloth to take off any smoke from the wood seeping up through the round lids.
