Hi, does anyone have any problems breaking embroidery thread while fmq? I have a regular sewing machine, the tension is set to auto, I've rethreaded, and things seem to have settled down now that I've lowered my speed, but I'm just wondering what the problem could have been....

Any idears?

I hope you solve it. I'm not that far along in my "journey".

I use poly embroidery thread all of the time, but I do need to use a needle with a larger eye, or the thread will shred/break.

Topstitch, embroidery or a metallic needle works well with this thread :D:D:D

You've not stated what kind of thread you're using. Embroidery thread can mean many things. Rayon is weaker than poly. And the correct needle with the correct thread will also effect your outcome.
