I think I would pick up one of the lighter colors for a small border and sashing color for binding. Kind of like a matt and frame on an oil painting. I personally like the red for a border. INMHO I just love it. It is a beautiful quilt.

Unless the quilt top is already the perfect size for you, then I would add borders. It is a gorgeous top already.
Your New York Beauty is a beuaty! I really like that border that has the wavy line of pointy triangles around the edge for that pattern (like teeth). It looks like a lot of work but it would look amazing. Someone posted a quilt with that border on QB.
I think you need a border to frame your lovely work!!
I am in agreement with Dina.
It's a lovely quilt, and it definitely needs borders. Not just one, several. A quilt like that needs a fairly complex border. Start messing around with strips of various widths, and consider what sort of piecing would look good there. You can always put "New York Beauty quilt" into Google Image and look at what other people have done to get ideas.
i wouild add a border. it's wonderful so far

Another one that likes at least an inner border w/ the same fabric as the sashing. Then see where to go from there.
my name is becca and i'm a quilt-a-holic :-)
It's beautiful! To finish it off I would add more than one border - first a plain dark one the same as the sashing, then a sawtooth border, then another plain one.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.
needs a border as a frame, otherwise, very pretty
