Default nice feeling

I had made a quilt for my MIL for christmas. hubby picked out the fabrics from ones I got for it and I had my 2 and almost 4 y/o color pictures on fabric for the backing. I had wanted to do a complicated pattern for her quilt but was having problems doing it because it just wasn't my colors or types of fabrics. so i just did a simple double disappearing nine patch. and the backing was pieced with the 4 pictures the kids colored for her. Talked to her on christmas morning and she said that when she opened it up she cried. But it was a good crying. She said that she loved it. I am soooooo happy that she liked it. I just wanted to share a happy quilt story. I wish that I had taken a couple of pics of the quilt before shipping but that is just the thing that we do huh? forget the pics. hope everyone had as good and happy a recipient of their quilted love.

that is so wonderful and it really shows that its' not about how complicated a quilt is, just the joy it gives someone to receive it.

Sew Nice!

Why don't you ask MIL to get a picture taken of her with the quilt?

Quilts generate so much warmth, from the giver and the recipient. Makes it all so worth while. So happy for all of you!

Why don't you see if she can get a picture of herself with the quilt and send it to you. She'd probably be tickled by that! Then you could show us!!!
