I just went through my stash to pick out the fabrics I'll use my aunt's quilt...there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the selection, and most of the fabrics look like they should not go together, no coordination...i will be using the shoo-fly block to make the quilt, so I really hope it comes together nicely...here's praying that although none of the fabrics go together, that when all is said and done, it'll look nice and my aunt will like it :)

Edited to add a pic...

I have that problem with my stash too. But it's amazing when you start piecing the fabrics they take on a new look and look great together.

Value is the key to a great scrappy quilt. You are off to a good start!

I don't see a thing wrong with any of them. I bet it will be beautiful when finished. Sometime the fabric we think is ugh, actually is a pop out fabric when finished..
