A friend is wanting a free pattern to sew a zippered scrub jacket. Here is what she said:

"I need to have a 3-4X pattern to make scrub-like jackets(?) for a doctor and so far have not been able to find any.

He wants those that open and zip in the front.

If you have access to anything like that...where I can get one, I would really appreciate it."

Thanks for any input. She is on a fixed income and sews up a few things and sells them to hospitals and doctors' offices.

Could she make a pattern from an old scrub that the doc. uses? I'm not sure if I could do such a thing but have heard of people who do. Maybe?

Thats what I would do, ask him for an old lab jacket and just add extra in the front for the zipper.

The zip-up ones that I found, which are few, appear to be based on a baseball jacket, windbreaker or fleece warm-up style jacket. Could she pickup a pattern on sale at Joann's and use that? I would at least give it a shot if I could get a 99 cent pattern at Joann's.
