    Question Buying Christmas Fabrics?

Buying Christmas Fabrics ? I am still deciding what to buy. I aim towards poinsettias, christmas reds and greens, ornaments fabrics, holly, some ivory/gold and a little silver.Curious as to what others are buying?

Halloween is 2 months away and there are already rows of Halloween items all over the place. Have to admit though have already gotten my shopping done. Gift cards. If anything else gets finished by the time Christmas arrives then I'm good.

If I want to get things done for Christmas (gifts) I have to start them now. I hate the last minute pressure! I like the beautiful candycane fabrics you can find sometimes, and snowmen!!

It's not far enough away!!!! But I did just buy 2 pieces of "pre-quilted" red tartan and a green tartan, for EASY stockings and placemats (scraps will become easy mug-rugs) I used to love Christmas, then worked for a potpourri company for 6 years. We MADE thousands of Christmas themed items, and had it all done by July, except for special orders. That job almost ruined me for Christmas crafts and decorations!

Here's a small funny, 2 years ago, I gave 2 mug-rugs to one of my Daughters new in-law family member, and she asked me to make some more of those awesome pot-holders for her! I used Insul-Bright, a super thin cotton batting and QAYG and she loves it for grabbing pots and setting them on her counter. She also liked the fact that she can wash them and they don't go all wonky, like the other "store" bought pot holders! Maybe this year, I'll make her some new large mug-rugs/potholders and matching towel hangers!

Yes, I've bought Christmas fabric. I was shopping for something else and saw a panel with a pair of cardinals and holly. Then I found a coordinate at another place. Now, if I could just decide how to put it together.

I'm almost done making christmas gifts.
I like rich colors in my fabrics. Some deep greens
and red, burgundy and such. a bit of gold trim.
My DH is Jewish, so I decorate in Aqua and white.
I look for those colors too.

Last year I did lime green, red, and aqua. This year it's black, white, and a little red. Black for Christmas is new for me. This year's started with a cute black/white prancing reindeer fabric that I just had to have!

My DD just told me that there are only 17 more Saturdays until Christmas...that makes me feel like I should hurry!

My colors are still traditional and eclectic. I have a real assortment of ornaments for our tree...many from friends and family and some from the kids when little, ones I made, and old ones from my parents. I tend to go with red green but I have some things I like in other colors.
