Unless that flier was mighty thick.... I would have cut the brouchure off the backing and then let the water of a finial wash do the rest.... no way I'd pic that off!!!!

I think there is something to be said for having a quilting frame! I too have done something similar. I bought a mid-arm frame so I don't have to use the seam ripper as much!

Don't feel bad. I sewed my FMQ slide to my quilt! This one you are suppose to tape it down & I had just laughed at a girlfriend for doing the same thing! Needless to say I had to rip also!

Don't feel bad....I quilted a pin between the layers on a customer's quilt!!!!! And, of course, it was ball headed pin!!! Had a heck of a time getting it out...............

Thank you my quilting family, I laughed at myself when I did it, but now I know I am not alone in dumb land. Quilt is done, doesn't look too bad for the first time. I did realize that I have to remember to breath. Also I noticed my mouth is a tiller. I seem to find myself pursing my lips in the direction I want to FMQ. What fun, huh?

I have FMQed the backing overhang to the back and was able to cut it away without harming the quilt. I will spend hours to do anything instead of ripping if I can keep from it.
Most of us have done lots of things like that.

A friend of mine has a long arm quilting business and she told me, if that ever happens to her in a quilt, she'll work the metal shaft out, cut it off with a wire cutter, then she smashes the pinhead with a hammer. Of course, this is a rare occurance. :lol:

we all have been to that land you mention....and had to rip our way out with the seam ripper.
some of us have been there more than once!
