I was poking on Craigslist. Saw this ad. $500 for notions, safety pins, mats, fabric... "worth over $2,000". Yeah, I dun't think so.

I don't know..... $500 for EVERYTHING including the shelving might be a good deal. I'm not sure about the $2000 but it looks to me like there's more than $500 dollars worth of stuff there depending on the condition. I'd probably offer 250 then negotiate.

I agree that $500 for everything against that wall (including the shelves and containers) may not be a bad price IF it was Good Quality fabric and notions that weren't used too badly.

But $500 to dish out at one time??? Too much for me!

That is quite a bit of stuff, but for $500, I better get the shelving, containers, deliver it to my house and clean the house before she leaves!

Who's got $500 setting around to shell out at one time, besides a credit card, I think not! I may not have the same tastes in fabrics for that price I better see GOLD thread!!

there ain't no way I'd sell ALL my quilting stuff to bail out a stupid kid... probably one of those brat-assed kids who think they know everything - got hooked up with some pimp who ran her life and she let him and wouldn't listen to mom for one minute....
you wouldn't believe the girls down here who get hooked up (literally) with meth heads and the next thing you know, you see them getting arrested along with the 'boy'friend and a few other unsavory characters and the baby and toddler are taken away because they were in the same room as the meth lab...
and they are all scratching away at their 'methmites'... and look 100 years old...
OTOH that woman probably raised the brat in the first place accustomed to gimme gimme gimme and I want it so you better give it to me - which is why she's winding up ponying up for this latest whatever-it-is.....

She probably does have that much invested in the stuff, but...it may not be worth that much to someone else. Its just sad to me....
