What a wonderful imagination you have. Your scraps look like a very expensive kit. Beautiful work on both.

You did a beautiful job on both of the quilts. I am amazed at how well that second quilt turned out, just beautiful.

Wow!!! Both quilts are beautiful!!! I don't like dealing with scraps very much, so I can't comment on the clever use of those or the feeling you get "getting a quilt for free." But your quilts are just wonderful, both of them.

Both quilts are beautiful. When I first began quilting I didn't know a whole lot as I was basically a self taught quilter then. I purchased many different fabrics to make a basket quilt with black sashing and it was perfect for our king size bed. Not knowing how much fabric to buy, I had plenty of black fabric left over to make a twin size Irish Chain quilt for our son, and adding only a medium blue, and he loved it; so one quilt led to another etc., etc. I love the quilt in your picture.

Wow. Your Hawaiian diamond - 2nd pic - is just "sparkly" I feel like I'm in the water watching the water move, the fish twitch & shift. As if I were scuba-diving (which I have NEVER done).

Your secondary quilt - 1st pic/free fabric - is gorgeously popping!
