I am making a basket of flowers quilt, it is a BOM. Well!!! I was going to add an empty block in between each applique block--which is what the book says to do BUT I had made the blocks bigger. Soooo I got to figuring: My quilt would have been 84" X 126"!!! Oh Dear! So it is just going to be the appliqued blocks with an inner border and the outer bringing it down to 60 something" X 84 something" Sounds much better.

Oh ya much better. Glad you took the time to do the math. I am working on some stack 'n whack blocks and it occurred to me that a block in between these might be good too. I have 24 7 1/4" blocks--weird size I know. I took it on from someone else who did not like how it was coming out. Back to the drawing board...

You will be glad that you took the time to figure out the size before you started quilting that sucker....

I will. some of these block have the fringe for center of the flowers. I did a tutorial on this board for the fringe. So I will put up pictures when I am done. I am looking forward to getting it quilted too. I hope the finished product turns out as nice as I picture it in my mind.
