Default Oh no! I purchased Steam a Seam2 not the lite

I accidentally purchased the Steam a Seam 2 that is not the lite version. Return postage is almost what I paid for it.

I am making an art quilt that has up to 3 layers to sew through in places (raw edge appliqué). Can any one tell me if I can use what I purchased?

Here is an example of one I did in class last week.

I have no idea about your question, but your deer is beautiful.

You might want to test it. I think I did the same thing once and the regular version left a lot of adhesive on my machine needle. I spent a lot of time removing it with an alcohol swab.

Homespun, thank you for your compliment. This is a picture of Oreo, my 3 pound 11 year old Granddog chihuahua. Your comment made me laugh because he does look like a deer!

I would test it out. Sometimes it is difficult to buy online because you can't see the detail of the product.

I have tried to sew through Steam a Seam 2 and it was tough going... three layers I think you would be really frustrated... but as mentioned earlier make a test piece with all the potential layers you want to sew through... and see if you can make it work.

I knew it was a chihuahua from the start, lol, what a good portrait, looks so great. I don't know about the steam a seam 2, but you could save it for a different project as you say the shipping to send back is out of the question.

We just had a national applique artist @ our quilt guild last month and Steam-a-seam 2 is what she uses. You should be fine!!!!

Steam a seam 2 is a lot like heat & bond lite. I've used both many times for applique projects without problem.
