Oiled my machine today...

I recently saw a YouTube video about care for my machine. They said it should be oiled after every third complete bobbin use. I had not been oiling it that frequently; but am keeping up with my bobbin changes and will oil it as suggested from now on. Machines do sew better when oiled, don't they!

I can't stand having my machines I'm using to be dirty. I am compulsive about removing lint even from between the teeth in the feed dogs, and oiling as required. Wish I was that compulsive about housecleaning.

I have a baby lock and it is recommended that it be oiled every 10 hours. If I've got a full day of sewing will oil it when I quit for the day. If not a full day will oil every other day of use. Really makes a difference.

I actually read the manuals that came with my machines and it says not to oil them. So for me I'll just have to take Linda's advice and drink wine and see what that does. Maybe my free motion quilting will look better after drinking the wine.

I have three machines that need to be oiled, several spots. Two need to be oiled about every eight hours of use. Hard to know when they need it. Race need more often, usually at every bobbin change. Sometimes I do sometimes not.
