Ok, so now we're organized -- what about all those notebooks?

So I've been reading all the responses to how we organize our books and magazines---the next questions is: Once you've put all those "I want to make" patterns in your notebooks, do you ever go back and make any of them? I have 3 notebooks now of patterns that I want to make someday. I go through them often when trying to decide what quilt I want to make but I always end up making the same patterns over and over again because they are the ones I am most comfortable with. What about you? Do you actually make those quilts or are they all part of your 'someday' collection? I think I'm just a collector of all things quilty.

I have patterns printed out and in my computer too. Will I make every one of them? Not in only one lifetime LOL
But, I do take a couple of blocks from this quilt and that quilt and... A border from this one and another... and the quilting from yet another... So they do all have value to me  and I probably won't get rid of any of them :D:D:D

I think I may have found a solution. I bought ONE special 3-ring binder and only 20 page protectors. I titled the notebook "THINGS I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT TO MAKE," weeding through all those other binders of ideas and patterns. Surprisingly, I was able to whittle it down to 20 I don't feel so guilty or overwhelmed.

I just used a pattern from a magazine and an applique from a book. I don't make everything that strikes my fancy but I'm pretty good at keeping the number of kept patterns or inspirational pix to a minimum.
