I went to Walmart this evening to pick up a few last minute things for Easter baskets. I went to the fabric dept. to look around and was amazed!!! The dept. had been re-arranged a little bit and a new huge shelf at the end. The shelf was jammed full of fabrics, some regular priced and some reduced on one side. The other side was jammed full of sale fabrics and fleece. The shelf was about 5 foot long and way taller than me.

And the one isle that still has bolts of fabric was packed full of new bolts and very nice quality to boot!!!! Most of the prices were between $4.44 and $5.44. I will definitely be shopping again at Walmart for fabrics. Hopefully more stores will be as lucky as this one. So if anyone is in the Tri-city area of north east Tennessee, you have got to stop in and see it.

I've read rumors on the internet in a couple places, that Wal-mart is being forced to bring their fabric departments back! They are finding that without the fabric people just don't shop their craft sections for too much of anything! I sure hope that is the case everywhere!

You lucky dog I sure wish they would put our fabric back in .We have to drive between 43 to 45 miles to the nearest walmart or fabric shop period.

Our Walmart retained our fabric dept but really downsized it. They are now expnding it to almost the original size. They have also added a better quality fabric and have a better selection of fabric.
