Default Help I am over run with brown.

I received all my mother's stash when she passed away. There was a quilt company that gave their scraps away and a number of her friends got scraps for her. I now have a hudge drawer of browns, rust, tan, and beige fabic. Some of it is cut into 3.5 inch squares, other are long strips about 4 inches wide and then miscellaneous pieces. I am not enammered with brown but I need to do something with these. Does anyone have any patterns to suggest to use up this mountain of fabric. I am not apposed to adding other fabric to this but I want to use mostly these fabrics. By the way they are all solid colors.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

There is a scrappy diamond quilt that has recently been shown a lot. This picture shows the "star" in black, but somewhere I saw it done in brown and then the scrappy diamonds part was beiges and different shades of browns and was gorgeous. My mom's group is doing it in the black and batiks for a raffle quilt, but when I do mine I thin it will be in the brown

I know that Fat Cat Patterns use to have a pattern on the website
called "Southern Gentleman" it was applique and mostly done in a
variety of browns, and such.

oh yes, good idea. I did one of these, and they would be perfect for the strips. They work up really fast, too.
