    Ombre/Gradation quilt help please

My son and DIL to be requested an ombre quilt for their wedding. The pattern is simple, a staggered strip brick quilt (Are there patterns for this? So I know how to lay out colors and how much fabric to buy?). They want the colors graded pretty much like a sunset. They want the colors "clean", not many prints or batiks. A more modern style. I have tried to google and found some things but I really need a picture. How do I go about buying the fabric for this and what should I get? Any help will be appreciated. Attached is the photo my DIL sent with her color requests, more or less. A peach/blush instead of orange, and they would like it to go white to navy.Thank you so much!!MA

I apologize. I erred when posting this giant photo and I do not know how to take it off.

Here's a recent post on fabric:
Hand dyed look without the price of the real thing
Also, I would look into hand dying your own fabric. Lots of online tutorials.

There is a tutorial in this link for the staggered brick pattern that might be helpful.

You could do a pattern like a trip around the world but adjust the color. You might go on Robert Kaufman website and start looking at all the colors they have.

Ombre fabric is probably only 42" wide with the color graduation. Take whoever came up with this idea shopping for fabric. It seems they have a specific idea in mine. There is a post on QB from a woman looking for a beach quilt since her son is going to married in Redondo Beach.

Help finding a pattern for nephew's wedding quilt

I posted a reply about a quilt called Surf Song. It may be a Bargello but other on this board will tell you it is not difficult. You may want to search this pattern on Google and see if they would like the various color combinations.

People who start projects and never finish them are cooler
than people who never start projects at all.
