Guess what?? I just heard from my Aunt and she is going to send me a quilt that my grandmother made! She and I are the only quilters in the family and I never knew she quilted. I wish she was still with us so we could quilt together. I am soooo excited, (can ya tell)?
I will take pics when I get it.

Good news Dawn. I have vintage quilts from a great-aunt, my mom, and one from mil and more from other family members. I Love mine and keep them in a cabinet so I can see them. I also keep a little cup of water in it and keep it full. Old trick to keep moisture in the air. Can't wait to see it. I am in the process of making labels for them so others know who's there were.

How wonderful is that!!!!! I still have the Sunbonnet Sue quilt my great grandmother made for me when I was born (almost 60 years ago). Hand pieced and hand quilted. I also have a couple of other quilts she made that my mom passed on to me. I cherish them.
