what is the difference between a stack and whack and OBW?

Stack n whack you use 2 fabrics. One fabric is the block fabric and one is the background fabric.

One Block Wonder you use just one fabric and create a flow of color within the quilt.

the basic cutting directions are pretty much the same between the 2 styles the big difference comes from putting the blocks together. the SAW gives you individual swirling blocks, set apart by solid trianges and the OBW gives you a watercolor, soft blending look. both are fun to do and you are in awe at the way each block turns out so different from the other!!!

It depends on which stack and whack quilt you make. The one I make is not cut the same as the OBW, with the exception of stacking the fabric the same way. The angles for different patterns can be different.
