I'm going to be making a quilt for a graduation present and my LQS is the place I'll be going for fabric. It's small in size but very large on friendly and helpful

Our LQS has the most knowledgeable ladies around. Whenever the girls that I quilt with and I have any problems or questions that's who we run to. Whether its color, math, any kind of quilting question they are always so willing to take the time to help us out! They not only have a great fabric selection but they have a sale selection too. I got all the fabric for my next baby quilt for $3.99/yard. I'm all for supporting our LQS!

I went to my LQS when I was working on my Mom's quilt. It was my first big quilt and I didn't really want to have to piece the backing. She helped me out by suggesting a white broadcloth that was cheaper and wide enough that I would have not have to piece. It looked perfect with material I had.

What I love about my local quilt stores is everything....they are the bigger sewing room when that is what you need and the place where the quilters of the community/community of quilters gather. Peacefull/piecefull and colorfull a treat for spirit, mind and creativity. Thank You to all LQS owners

We have 2 quilt shops in our small town of 1100, both carrying different fabrics so as not to step on each others toes. Both give great service, and are not afraid to go the extra mile to help you choose fabrics, etc. I like supporting the smaller businesses, it's much more of a personal experience for me.

I will be going back soon as DH gave me $200 from the sell of his motorcycle! Now I can really stock up on some great fabrics!

I rarely walk out of my local QS with out buying something. They are great about special ordering anything I need and ask for. I want to keep the LQS open, they are friendly and very helpful when I need it.

I love when I can go into a LQS and just browse. Sometimes I don't have any money but like to look to see what is new that I can dream about. I don't mind the security cameras, they are necessary in today's world, but I don't like when the staff watches every move I make like I am going to walk off with something. Maybe they have had things taken but they can do it in more subtle ways.
