Which online dealer should I use?
This is my first time to do this, though I have been reading the post for some time. It has been really helpful to see all your comments and discussions.
I have been really wanting a Brother PQ1500 and my DH just gave me the money to get it for my birthday which is tomorrow! But I can't decide which online dealer to go with. Amazon, Allbrands or Kens. There is one in California too but I don't remember that name. Any suggestions or warnings? My closest dealer is 2 hours away and won't go below $655. Even if I pay cash and pick it up.

If it's this one from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Brother-PQ1500...dp/B003C29EL4/
and the price is similar to other places, I would buy from Amazon. The listing says sold by and shipped by Amazon, which is good. I would be sure to try out ***everything*** on the machine and give it a good workout before the return window closes (30 days). If there is anything wrong with the machine during that period of time, Amazon will exchange it for another or refund your money and not charge for return shipping. (If you simply change your mind, you need to pay for return shipping.) After the 30 days is over, you would probably have to have your machine repaired locally or pay for shipping to have warranty work done. You do want to keep all of the original packaging in case you need to return the machine or ship it off for repairs down the line, but this applies to any machine you purchase.

I bought my Brother PQ1500 from Amazon- free shipping and no tax(yet at least). amazon is an authorized brothers dealer so warranty work should be taken care of anywhere- although they may not be thrilled to work on a machoine they did not sell. Amazon has easy return policy. I would buy from them again!!
