I can suggest going to the Missouri Star Quilt Company website. There are two there, using layer cakes, that I am just starting. The first one I am doing is the Double Cut Layer Cake. Their website has free tutorials- many free tutorials and the layer cakes are among them. They are also on Youtube. Hope this helps.

I made a quilt for my neighbor using the large tumber ruler - was really fast to piece together and it looks nice. Unfortunetly, I did not get a picture of it to post - come home from renting a long arm, bound the quilt and gave it to my neighbor on Saturday.

I made a quilt from the book "Sweetwater's Simple Home". The quilt was called "Master Suite Quilt". It was very easy and used the whole Layer Cake. It turned out to be very eye catching. I would post a picture except I don't know how. lol

I like this one. I enlarged it to about 50 x 70, adding another column and rows. If you use her directions, you can get two out of one layer cake. http://www.etsy.com/listing/62030251...uilt-easy-uses
