I like your layout, I see the red squares "stepping" down, but the top row needs the blocks rotated so the red is in the same sequence.
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

That is going to be very nice when it is done. I do like that design.
I, too, only saw one photo, so my comment refers to that one.
I have made a lot of D9P, but never thought of sewing the original fabrics back together such as you are showing. That is a very interesting idea. Adding that pop of red into each square makes the quilt very unique.
I would turn the top ones so that the pattern is consistent throughout your quilt.
My favorites are usually controlled scrappy like yours, using lots of different fabrics but controlling the colors. There are so many layouts to choose from, you can make many and never repeat yourself!

I believe UFOs are like scraps, ferns and dust bunnies. Once you get two, they send spores out into the air and more just happen anywhere the spores meet.
Ok, going to parrot what everyone else is saying! LOL!! I like your colors! You can arrange them any old way! l like the step down of the red blockstoo, just need to spin the top row blocks. You could swap aroundsome of the blocks too in order to not have too many gray ones nextto each other but honestly, I think it's going to look great!
I didn't think the gray that a previousposter referred to as dingy looked that way at all. Perhaps it'sjust her screen resolution...heaven knows that is what makes orderingany fabric online to perilous! Screen resolution can really messthings up. I can see the print on it and that makes it look great!
Nice work! I'm doing a DP9 too, it'sone that when you cut up your nine-patches, you do it on two anglesgiving you 4 triangles. You then mix and match with all the othersyou cut up and create a new block. I'm using charm packs (first time working with charms) for it...hoping it comes out good! Yourquilt looks fun and modern, go with what pleases your eye. Sorry Icouldn't offer more...I can only see one picture too.
everyone is right. but for consistency in layout every other row layout should be the same sic: 1,3,5, and 2,4, 6. that is the red block in the same corner, so if you make row 1 like row 3 that should do it. The red block sets it off. will make a pretty quilt.
I really like that!

The one nice thing about 9-patches is: They can be put together many, many different ways, and they all look beautiful. Yours is gorgeous! And yes, the top row doesn't match the layout of the rest, but it doesn't seem to matter much.
The only thing I would do to that layout now is to change a few blocks so that the same colors are not next to each other as much. As in those three gray squares in a row and two black squares at the top right. Other than that, I love it as is. The red for the center square was the perfect touch.
