I have the borders sewn on now. Thanks to all for your opinions. I used the brown for a 2" border with the print measuring 10". In the corners, I used the teal for a 2" corner where the brown meets. Then I extended the brown to the edge. Like 1/4 of a disappearing 9 patch. Now I just have to finish piecing the backing (quilt ends up measuring 114 x 113). The backing isn't wide enough, so I will be adding a strip offset from the middle using the practice blocks and rejects (including the corners that I made the wrong size). Can't wait to get it to the LAQ and have it finished.
