I accidentally found a help in removing paper from quilting. I had printed my new grandgirl's name on freezer paper to use as a template on the blanket I'd stitched for her. I hate to machine quilt but decided I'd sew the name and just grit my teeth.

Anyway, quite by accident, I pulled the blanket by the corner causing a strain on the bias of the blanket. The freezer paper just popped off. When I was done, I gently pulled on the bias going both ways. Very easy to remove the paper.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try it. Also try using tissue paper when you are quilting the quilt. It works great to trace or draw your pattern, cut around it and pin it to the quilt.

I realized the freezer paper was the most solid paper I could use, but I was too lazy to look for the tissue paper.

Somewhere in my belongings I've got some blank newsprint, too. Not a bit heavy.
