So... I was measuring a piece of fabric for a wall hanging I am making and designing as I go. I had the main 'panel' type piece all cut out to the size I wanted.
I took the other piece of fabric that I was going to cut fussy cuts from.
Then picked up the 'panel' piece to remeasure it to make sure of the size I wanted the fussy pieces cut....
    AND ---
you guessed it. I then CUT the Fussy cuts from the main panel piece!!!

Luckily there was enough of the 'left over' piece to cut a new 'panel' piece!

The rest of my day ----- went rather well and the wall hanging top is done. Unless I put one more border on it.

Glad you could save your quilt!

I was in your Walmart this morning and almost didn't find the fabric dept! I could not believe how small it is now and almost hidden! So disappointing. Your store used to have a really good selection.

You have no idea how many times I have done that too. I am glad you were able to make it work, sometimes I can't. So the holidays are shining on you for getting it all to work out.
    Happy Holidays.

So sorry I was not working! would love to meet you.
I know, it's sad to be so small. And like you many people think we don't have fabric anymore because the department is hard to find. Even the sign above the dept. only says "Crafts/Sewing" Who can tell from that that there is fabric for sale?

I hope as all that fleece sells out we get more cotton in. Some is coming in so that is encouraging. The notions we no longer sell is really sad also.

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

    Hi clem555,

I've been here, just not starting as many posts as I once did.
I've been busy with my new longarm. Check out my other posts about the longarm work.

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

    Hi Susan,

I'm here, sort of. Been more lurking and reading than posting my own stuff, but busy with the Longarm work/practice.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy New Year, too!

I'm glad you were able to save the quilt. Remember, there are never any mistakes, only creative adjustments. Some creative adjustments are bigger than others.
