Actually the top I have finished was done prior to receiving all her materials but that was a good idea...but I know she will enjoy this one too..... she quit sewing about 5 years ago due to her eyesight .... I still go to her for advice now and then tho!

Gotcha'! I am sure there will be other things you can still do...maybe she could pick the favorite fabs for a lap quilt. Be careful about the letting her pick the pattern...she may make you stretch your skills. :D I know you both have special memories still yet to share.
