Isn't this called paperless. Saw a video and thinking about trying it out.

I prefer the cheap copy paper that office supply stores use to give away for free with minimum purchase. Newspaper print doesn't always seem to come off as easily as cheap copy paper.

Old telephone books are great to use for this purpose.

I also buy newsprint reams of paper from Amazon.

Not for paper piecing. You can't print a pattern on telephone pages. Those are good for foundation piecing.

Do you know the weight number for the lightweight Vellum? my office supply store guy was no help as to what the numbers mean. Thanks so much! I appreciate all the input. Am sick at the moment but hope to feel like trying some paper piecing soon! Have a new book called Little Gems with a design I am excited to make for my daughter. Thanks everyone! Will let you know how it goes.

I agree with Tartan. I always use the beige newsprint which I purchase at Dollarama in Canada. Most $ stores should carry it.
