So far since I've just started it is piecing and quilting by hand. I have yet to try doing it witha machine. I also live looking for fabric.

Oh and I love paper piecing!

I love ironing the fabric and cutting the fabric - I know I'm probably the only one. I love piecing the top so much. I send my quilts to the LAer. I don't bind my quilts anymore - I found someone who does an excellent job machine binding them with fancy stitches for very little money! I have the hardest time with binding - I would rip it out three or four times because it would be wrong and finally decided it wasn't my thing. Thank God I realized it was okay not to bind my quilts. No quilt police in my town!!

To be fair I normally do her cutting and quilting so it works pretty good for her too.
This is also what I love best, seeing it come together one block at a time.

I love the whole process except for cutting out the pieces. That part causes me some stress and leaves my hand hurting from holding the ruler straight and my other wrist from holding the rotary cutter. Binding in probably my most favorite part because it means I'm almost done!!

All of it. But mostly giving it to the person it was made for.

I like sewing all the pieces together and seeing the pattern emerge. I can feel a sense of relaxation come over me when I set at the sewing machine. My least favorite part is probably the actual cutting. I find it tedious. The part that makes me the most nervous is choosing the fabric. I have a hard time trusting myself w hen it comes to value, etc.I, too, love sewing on the binding, even though I am not a big fan of handwork!
